| Bio: | Ishida tries to look cool and collected at all times, but in truth he is a bit of a dork. He is highly intelligent and very good at figuring things out by being very observant of his surroundings (as witnessed with the episodes involving the maze). He is a calm individual that tries to take in everything before making any decisions. He is a master sewer and loves to show this off every chance he gets, whether it is repairing Kon or sewing women's clothing. Ishida is relatively quiet and keeps to himself most of time, probably because he has a fairly large burden to bear being the last Quincy. Ishida has a big heart though and is willing to help anyone that needs it, regardless of who they are.
Background: Ishida is the last Quincy, a hunter of Hollows, and blames the death of his sensei (grandfather) on the Shinigami that failed to protect him. Because of this Ishida held very strong feelings of hate towards Ichigo, whom he discovered was a shinigami. These feelings have changed slightly, but he still has an overall distrust of shinigami. Ishida is Ichigo, Orihime, and Chad's classmate and president of the arts and crafts club.
The last Quincy. Quincy is a human with spiritual abilities who developed techniques to fight hollows. They gather spiritual energy from outside their bodies to make a kojaku to shoot the hollows. Quincies kill Hollows, which upset the balance of souls between the real world and Soul Society. So, 200 years ago shinigami killed off most of the quincy to prevent a total disruption of the balance of souls and the destruction of the world. There are only a few alive today. |
